Bargain of the week - Andrew Barton Heat Protection Spray

Who doesn't love a bargain?

So when I was tottering round asda and found myself down the hair care isle and spotted this Andrew Barton heat protection spray for blonde hair down to 5Op from £3.5O it would have been rude not to buy it.

I don't usually use any kind of heat protection on my hair (I know my poor hair) so I was excited to give it ago, I rarely straighten my hair now days but I do blow dry it.

Now that I have this it's likely I may just start straightening my hair again you know for blog purposes to put this spray to the test! 

 

Bargain of the week

Okay so it wasn't quite this week but was only last week or so, I saw a post on a make-up swap page I'm in on facebook for real technique brush sets scanning through at £5.5O at asda.

I've wanted some real technique brushes for awhile now after seeing them all over the blogging world but could never justify the price tag for myself when I rarely wear make-up BUT at £5 can I really let that offer pass me by?

Of course while on the food shop it goes without saying I went to hunt some of these babies down! Not expecting to find any as the make-up section in my local asda is pretty pants.

To my surprise there was quite a few of both sets there (eye starter set and travel essentials) 

I ran to self scan to check what price they were scanning through at and there it was that gorgeous £5.25! 

I don't wear eyeshadow so I didn't get myself an eye starter set, pretty impressed with myself as the old me would have bought them anyway for the sake of a good bargain. Kind of gutted to as I may one day start wearing eyeshadow and as they say 'nothing haunts us more than the things we didn't buy'

 

I was even more impressed today when I popped into superdrug on the hunt for the real techniques sponge and spotted the brush set I have for £2O.99! 

 

Bargain ebay watches

It really is no secret I LOVE a bargain, recently referred to as an eBay queen *insert monkey hiding eyes smiley* but I wear my crown with pride :)

Now a watch for not even £2?? 

You'd be silly not to buy one, of course for that price you don't/can't expect the quality to be that of what you'd expect from a watch from river island or topshop.

but to be fair for the price the quality really isn't all that bad, As you can tell from the picture (credit to my wonderful other half) None of the watches are set to the correct or same time because I haven't actually worn any of them yet but they are soo pretty and such a bargain does it matter if I never wear them?

They will take pride on my wrist this summer.

God I love poundland

Now we all know I love a good bargain, So it goes without saying that I'm a big fan of poundland and 99p store.

There's so many hidden gems in these places

The girls don't even need shampoo but like hell was I leaving these behind, Who doesn't love disney princesses and frozen?

I'm still undecided if I bought them for me or the girls, I only noticed the frozen stuff as I was quing up so I'm heading back tomorrow to see if there's anything I missed and if they stock the bubble bath and nail polish I was tagged in by a friend on instagram.

Cheap & Cheerful Statement necklaces

I'm not much of a jewellery wearer but recently I feel a nice statement necklace would finish off my outfit perfectly!

So as I'm new to wearing necklaces I refuse to spend alot on one necklace for it to sit on the side.

Each of these necklaces cost no more than £4 BARGAIN!

I dread they may look cheap and tacky on arrival but at prices like £2.97 or so each it's not to much of a loss or a bank breaker if it goes to the girls for their dressing up box.

Revlon - 220 Juicy Apricot

While in my local poundland I took a little longer to have a look at the make-up they had in

as I've seen their chit chat range pop up on a few blogs, I usually dive straight passed to the cleaning or themed isle they have

as always there was a hidden gem or two among all their chit chat range of lipsticks and lipglosses 

there was some revlon lipsticks many shades of reds but I haven't worn red lisptick in ages so I didn't grab any of the red shades this time but I may go back for some as they are so cheap,

there was also this gorgeous peachy kind of shade, which I loved the minute I had a look!
So it went straight into my basket

The third picture is alot more true to the actual shade (I really must work on my photography)

I've gone crazy for peach,coral, nude and all sorts of lighter shades of lipsticks recently so this one is just perfect, I'm yet to actually wear this lipstick out as I keep forgetting about lipstick all together. I'm wearing it at the moment tho and I love the shade
These lipsticks come with a moisture kind of stick in the centre which smells like mint

I did grab a picture of it on but my skin is just horrific ATM

I also grabbed a sally hanson sugar coat nail varnish

but that ended up all over our tablet, my sofa and floor.

(I really must learn that leaving my girls for even a second is dangerous)

Poundland Treasures

Poundland is my favourite place to stop off at before heading home after the school run.
It's full of so many hidden treasures!!
I buy alot of brand name cleaning products from there but no one want's to see that do they!
So here's a small amount of the treasures I've bought recently.

I have 2 of the tangle attack brushes but as they are they the girls the pink has already gone to the land of no return. I will be doing a closer review of these brushes.
The chuppa chup candles were my fave scents out of the many scents they had in stock, they also had love hearts ones too.
You can never have enough hair donuts either eh?
After a friend made a donut bun using just my hair (no way in hell could I do it myself)
she said the medium size they had for sale would be perfect for my hair length, I'd never have thought my hair was long enough for a donut so big.
The shampoo and detangler smells so nice I just had to grab it, the girls don't even need any of either but for £1 they sure as hell were coming home with me!

BARGAIN of the week

 I quite often get stuck on what I should post on my blog without posts becoming pointless 

and being made just so I've blogged about something that week, So I'm going to start doing a weekly/monthly post on my bargain of the week/month depending when I get myself a good bargain :) 

This weeks bargain has to be my Topshop bag (although I received it last week) 

I did expect it to be double the size it is but I'm totally in love with it :)

even more so that this little beauty only cost me £9.99 + £2.99 delivery 

BRAND NEW just has its label cut to stop any store returns 

You can still get this beauty here and it's now been put down to £8.99!!! 

BARGAIN of the week

One of my bargains of the week has to be this Mamas & Papas urbo dolls pram :) 

I managed to get this for a bargain of £24.99 from £54.99!!! from Argos

I also got a Mamas & Papas luna dolls pram for £20 from £39.99 from ELC

so excited to see the girls faces on Christmas day :)

super bargain buy - o.p.i nail lacquer

Today I popped into the 99p store to get some more Halloween bits for the girls Halloween party, while there in there it started raining really hard so i went round to an isle to look for an umbrella but they only had the kind i'm scared of lol. While down that isle i came across loads of O.P.I shatter nail laquer in numerous colours I don't know if these are fakes or ones that are meant to be thrown, The bar code on the bottom has a pen line through it, I've never purchased O.P.I nail polish before so I wouldn't know if they were fake without researching online for abit but either way for 99p could I really go wrong? either way it's a bonus :)

BARGAIN BUY!!

After looking in the kids section of Asda for some winter boots for the girls I spotted these beauties, I fell in love and was over the moon they went up to a six but noticing the price tag of £15 which is a total bargain but I'm never up for spending that sort of money on one item for myself. I'm quite the tight bum when it comes to buying myself things and Andy has to pretty much force me!! After going back to stare at them everyday Andy urged me to buy them so I did. I'm going to be buying Issy a pair next week as she said this morning she likes my boots :') I showed her a pair similar I fell in love with for her before and she screwed her nose up at me and said no :(

These are the most comfortable boots ever!! and for £15 you really can't go wrong if these were in the adults section I'd imagine there would be another £1O on top of that £15 so I'll be a regular down the kids shoe isle of asda from now on :)

Day two of volunteering

Today i spent my day out the back sorting out donations, labeling and steaming the clothes before they went out, I stayed until close today (5pm) even tho i was booked in for 9-3 as lame as it sounds it really is pretty fun :) My feet are completely blistered where I've been on my feet all day and chose to look good rather than comfort, Super chuffed with today's bargains it's amazing what gets thrown out as it's not suitable to go out on the shop floor too, Today i got 4 cushion covers FREE because they don't smell to fresh and need a wash, 3 candle holder 5Op and a gorgeous multi photo frame for the girls room for £1

I'm also amazed that although I'm a body piercer and the piercing thing on this label gun is pretty much the same yet i find this alot tougher than piercing peoples skin

My new babies arrived

My new babies arrived and as i expected the watch needs adjusting so i can't wear it yet :( unless i wear it half way up my arm damn having such child like wrists, The earrings are just amazing but when they arrived i remembered i only have one ear lobe pierced now :/ they look so gorgeous on i can't wait to wear them :)  thank god I'm a body piercer so I'll be putting a needle through to sort that problem :)


 Every time Issy see's a cross she will tell me Jesus died on one of those but today when she saw the earrings she said father James died on one  (he's the priest at our local church where she sometimes goes to Sunday school, she called him Jesus the other week to her little sister) she will get them round the right way soon bles her  :') kinda creeps me out having my 5 year old talking about things like that but what can i expect when she goes to a catholic school?

Rimmel colour show off lipstick in 050 HAVE FUN

Finally used my Rimmel colour show off lipstick in shade 050 HAVE FUN, when it arrived it wasn't anything like the colour in the picture on the fragrance direct website and i wasn't sure if I'd ever use it but i love it!
I put it on before putting anything on to give my lips some moisture so they were a little rough but after putting this on they felt really soft and as if i had put something on previous to putting this on. I got this from fragrance direct for £1.99 it's RRP is £6.29 I'll definitely be buying more shades in  :)

please excuse my lighting it really isn't great so doesn't do the lipstick justice, it doesn't help the photos are taken on an iphone :/ i will grab another one in better lighting when i get round to putting my face on soon :)

Day one of volunteering in my local marie curie charity shop

So yesterday was my first day of volunteering at my local marie curie charity shop, i'm so glad i decided to pop in and ask about volunteering on my first day i learnt how to work the till and was on  the shop floor, aswell as labeling & steaming the clothes before they went out :) I'm chuffed i managed a whole day without freaking out it really doesn't seem alot to most people but for me this was a HUGE step, I'm back there again on weds, i also managed to pick up some amazing bit, next steps are to enroll on a GCSE course and once i'm fully trained for shop work I'll be searching even harder for some retail work :)

The skirt i'm really unsure of atm but andy had a great idea of pulling it up as a dress wack a belt round it and it looks amazing as a summer dress :) but im not going to complain when it cost me £1, i was talking away about how my girls love their lush bath bombs because they change the colour of the water and the shop owner said they had some lush stuff in and at £4 for the whole box no way was i leaving it behind i thought the body conditioner may not be any good but it's still in date until 31/O9/13 :D I also got the girls some matching shoes,aswell as a little purse & some  bath confetti and Andy a dinosaur onsie which is huge but sooo comfy

I'm wondering why on earth i didn't pop in and browse charity shops before? i buy on eBay so whats the difference

A bra that actually does what it promises

I saw an offer on some bras in ASDA being 2 for £6 on the two sizes bigger bras and OH MY!!! best thing i ever did was buy these bras, I'll be going back for more as soon as i can they really do make you look two sizes bigger than you are, before having my girls i had nice bouncy DD boobs but since having my girls I've been a B/C
I'm forever going from i love how they are to I'd love to have my big boobs back and now i can have my boobs back just by putting on one of these babies! they come in such gorgeous designs even at full price they are only £6 i bought an Ann summers one before at £2O something pounds but the fit was just horrid so it went straight back. I highly recommend these bras to anyone wanted bigger boobs but not the high price of cosmetic surgery they really are wonderful :)
