What is/are your favourite Christmas film?

The Grinch is one of my top faves! I'm so glad that its one of Daisie's too, lately every time I've asked what film she'd like to watch the answer has been the Grinch! Then ELF who doesn't love that film?

Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?

Christmas morning it just doesn't seem right to open them all on christmas eve but I always get my Jim jams from my mum on christmas eve so I can wear them through out christmas day!

Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?

In 2OO9 when Issy was coming up to 2 years old I went stupidly over the top with presents so much so she ended up crying because she didn't want to open anymore presents.

Favourite Festive Food?

This is where I get a bit boring as there's nothing majorly festive that I like but I LOVE my Brussels sprouts and pigs in blankets, A hot chocolate with whipped cream on top always tastes that much better in the festive season too but that's as adventurous as I get when it comes to festive food

Favourite Christmas Gift?

The sally and doctor finklestein statue/figure Andy got me in 2OO9 from America as there is none in England is one of my top faves but each gift I receive I appreciate and love!

I love spiced apple, This year I have a few Yankee christmas scents and it's to tough to choose just the one!

Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?

The girls always get their new pajamas or dressing gowns ready to wear for christmas day, Last year they got a bag of little goodies and this year they have a christmas eve basket full of treats which will come out and be restocked every year!

What tops your tree?

For the past few years its been a winnie the pooh holding a star which is my mums but this year its a red glitter star to match our red and white theme this year, I have my eye on a star made from twig style wood for next year.

As a kid, what was the one gift you asked for but never received?

I can't actually think of anything, I went through a stage of wanting a horse that I never got if that counts?

I never really asked for it for christmas tho.

What is your favourite Christmas song?
  'Fairytale of New York' by the Pogues is my all time favourtie I started playing it in November, Following that has to be Wizzard - I wish it could be christmas everyday!

 What's the best part of Christmas for you? 

 It has to be seeing the girls get really excited over a toy they've seen and knowing I have it in  my wardrobe waiting to be wrapped and then of course it's seeing how excited the girls get with the build up to christmas and then there's christmas day seeing their faces spot their piles of presents then getting stuck in with the unwrapping!!

Okay we're talking coffees - what's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero etc?

I'm pretty boring I don't like coffee so it would be a standard hot chocolate with cream.

Accessories - what do you opt for scarf,boots,gloves?

Ahhh do I really have to pick between boots and scarves? They are both must haves for me whats a warm neck with freezing piggies? I love a good snood but you'll also catch me in boots as soon as the weather gets chilly.

Music - Whats your favourite music to listen to during autumn?

I can't say my music tastes really changes when the weather does BUT as soon as I hear the shops playing Christmas songs I'll be the annoying neighbour singing away with them playing.

Perfume - Whats your favourite scent for this time of year?

My perfume collection is pretty bare right now and in desperate need of a refill, so I guess it would be charlie red as it's the only real one I wear atm, Can always rely on Christmas for a good smellies re stock

Candles - What scents will you be burning this season?

I currently have a fall glory yankee wax tart burning and it smells gorgeous

I have plans to stock up on some Yankee festive scents asap! I loved glades spiced apple air freshener last year I'm hoping I can get it again or a wax tart in the same scent.

What do you love most about Autumn?

Oooh whats not to love? snuggling in the warm while its cold outside, Movie nights feel so much more cosey, knitted jumpers, wooly socks, foggy mornings, nights getting darker earlier, Halloween, Chilly mornings.

What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?

The leaves changing colour on the trees and leaf crunching on any walks out, I'm like a big kid if I see a leaf that hasn't been crunched I'll go out of my way to go and step on it. Snuggling up with my little family while its cold outside, the bigger dinners.

What is your natural hair colour?   A mousey brown
Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon? Myself well Andy
How often do you wash your hair? As and when it needs washing which varies sometimes once a week up to 2-3
Do you wear the same style every day or change it? Most of the time it's chucked in a messy bun, I attempt down but end up hot and bothered although I'm having it in a pony tail more often now
Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to the salon?  Salon for my mani my a acrylic addict, home for my toes
How often do you change your nail polish? Every 2 weeks along with an infill and my toes when it chips I either then re-do it or change the colour.
Do you polish your toes in the winter or just the summer? All year round
How long does it take you to do your make up? Depending on the occasion 30 minutes including chasing the girls for the contents of my make-up bag bag
What do you do first - face or eyes? Face I can't imagine doing my eyes first? I'd end up looking like I just got out of the shower after getting in with my make-up on
Do you 'collect' make up or just buy what you need when you need it? I buy it when I need it but have still ended up with a collection from changing brands
How often do you wear false eyelashes? Never I used to for photoshoots and that's it, they are so uncomfortable how my friend wears them everyday I do not know
Do you do a full face of make up every day? No I would love to tho but if I'm not going out it just seems like such a waste and most days I just want to get out and back home again
Do you wear make up when you are home alone/with family? Occasionally mainly on occasions so I don't look like the grim reaper in photos of us all
Will you leave the house without make up? Yes ask me that 5 years ago it would have been a hell no
How many high end products do you have? Erm.. 3? I think if you count a sample HA! Since being a mum I begrudge spending silly amounts on things for myself
How often do you wash your make up brushes? I've barely used them but I do need to get down with this brush cleaning technique, Eveyrtime I do my make-up my foundation brush gets a clean with a make-up wipe before I use it. 'don't shoot me'
Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you're getting up? When I get up, I tend to chuck on whats comfortable atm 
How often do you change your handbag? Every other month
What time do you get up and go to sleep? Depending on the days plans school day 7.30-8 the latest weekend 10 unless the girls get up earlier and I go to sleep when I'm tired very recently its 10-11ish

I always have tabs open on my phone of bloggers and blogposts I've spotted on twitter so I can go back to them

How did you come up with your blog name?

It was meant to be temporary until I thought of another but then it seemed perfectly fitting and didn't tie me to any type of blogging, I hoped people saw it as I'm a mum and this is what I do when I get some time to myself so would see it as they'd find anything from fashion,beauty,lifestyle and family posts

What kind of camera do you use for your photographs?

What is your favourite colour?

Green

What is your favourite beauty/fashion magazine?

This is were its obvious I'm no beauty blogger as I don't have one

Do you swear?

Yes way to fucking much ;)

What are you doing for the rest of the day?

As it's 9.12pm I'll be chilling out then it's na'nights for me

The summer tag

1.  What's your favourite thing about Summer?

It has to be the weather! Waking up and knowing it's going to be a warm day without a cloud in the sky! The sun shining is an instant happiness boost for me.

2.  Do you have a favourite Summer drink?

If it's a warm summers day and I'm in about out of the garden - reading and sunbathing generally, I like to make up a batch of Lipton Lemon Ice Tea in a big jug with ice and keep it in the fridge. If you are lucky and have a world food aisle in your local Tesco you should definitely try it! I also love making a fruit smoothie in the morning for breakfast and sitting in the garden to drink it.

3.  Is there a location you like to go to each Summer?

I love going to the beach in summer for a picnic/BBQ though it's always way more crowded than I imagine. But Barbecues in my garden is the thing I love the most! 

 

4.  Favourite makeup look for Summer?

I don't really change my makeup too much with each season. But for warm days I like to do a simple winged eye and a bold lip or stain depending on how warm it is. I discovered for hot days a good lip stain is my best friend for looking still made up even after my eyes have gone a little smudged. 

5.  Dresses or skirts?

Pretty summer dresses all the way! I love skirts with black tights in winter but as soon as summer comes along I love wearing comfortable above the knee dresses (mainly from Primark as they always have so many lovely ones).

 

6.  Sandals or ballet pumps?

Since discovering Melissa ballet pumps (which literally are indestructible and waterproof!) I wear them all year round - I have 6+ pairs now. So I continue to wear them come summer but I do love sandals especially with dresses and on holiday they are a must. 

7.  Do you prefer to wear your hair up or down for Summer?

Most days I'm lazy and stick my hair up in a high messy bun but if I take the time to straighten my hair or curl it with my Babyliss Conical Wand I do prefer how it looks. 

8.  Deep smokey eyes or bold lips?

I always find a bold lip much easier even if it takes some maintenance during the day. I also feel like I don't wear bold lipsticks enough any other part of the year so I love delving into my lipstick drawer and deciding what I'm going to use. I love both Kiko and Clarins for super pigmented but hydrating lipsticks!

9.  Favourite perfume for Summer?

I love, love, love wearing pretty floral and fruity perfumes in summer, even if the bees are attracted to me! My absolute favourite for the past two years has been Vera Wang Princess - such a creamy floral vanilla scent that is perfectly summery. 

10.  Last but not least, favourite music for Summer?

Ohh, this is a tough one as I don't really think my music tastes change throughout the year. If I'm in a super happy mood, which is generally when it's a sunny day and I'm getting ready, I listen to a 90's playlist on Spotify - Savage Garden, Green Day, Alanis Morissette etc! But it's generally what's in the charts... do the charts even exist these days? Currently loving Happy by Pharrell, All of Me by John Legend and anything by Bastille.

Whats your favourite thing about summer?

Being able to wear pretty sandals and lovely clothes without having to hide it all under a big clumpy coat.

Do you have a favourite summer drink?

  I wish :( I'd love nothing more than to drink a lovely pure juice packed with ice cubes but my mouth just won't allow it and I'm still no closer to the cause.

Is there a location you like to go to each summer?

I'd love to be able to just dissapear to a beach with the girls and Andy, This year may be the year where we may just start :)

Favourite make-up look for summer?

It would have to be the usual natural with no shadow etc, It all ends up dripping off because of the heat so anything more than that could end up quite messy.

Dresses or skirts?

Dresses for me, Skirts always make me look and feel frumpy because of my sticky out hips and I just don't feel comfortable.

Sandals or ballet pumps?

Sandals as much as I hate my feet I do like to have my little painted piggys out, ballet pumps always leave me with horrible blisters

Do you prefer to wear your hair up or down for summer?

It's got to be up, I get way to hot and frustrated with my hair down in the winter let alone the summer.

Deep smokey eyes or bold lips?

Bold lips all the way for me.

Favourite perfume for the summer?

I don't really have a fave but I love the smell of Katie prices first 2 perfumes but I'm dying to get my hands on some Marc Jacobs perfume

Last but not least, favourite music for the summer?

My go to album for the last 5 years of summer has been Natty - Man like I

Me and Andy went to see the streets for our first date and he was a support act we stayed for him and left as soon as the streets came on (just awful live) as soon as we got home we bought Natty's album and we play it every year while relaxing in the garden :)

Got to love abit of reggae too.

2O Things

 

It's been awhile since I done a 2O facts about me so I thought I'd post another for my new followers that don't want to hunt back to April 2O13 to find it.

1- I'm an aunty to 11 and a great aunty to 6

2 - I don't like beans or cheese but can ONLY eat them together 

3 - I'm the baby with 4 older brothers the youngest of the 4 being 1O years older than me

4 - Despite having over 2O+ piercings having a cannula is my worst fear

5 - I've never been abroad and don't have a passport 

6 - I used to collect cheesy bugs (wood lice) in a hamster cage and wonder why they went away when I gave them plenty of mud HA

7 - I'm certified in above the waist body piercing

8 - I'm a shopaholic

9 - I'm really set on not having anymore children once I'm 3O I have no idea but it's been a rule since I can remember

1O - I can't be touched when in water, by someone with wet hands or touch things when my hands are wet BUT I want a water birth

11 - My favourite colour is green 

12 - I had Issy when I was 16

13 - Moths & butterflies absolutely terrify me, those beady eyes arghh...

14 - I was run over by my cousin on a motorbike when I was younger and broke my leg in 2-3 places but walked on it for a week 

15 - I'm super dim and way to dim for my own good, I come out with the most stupidest things it's actually scary

16 - I always thought elephants were scared of mice because they could fit up their trunk and suffocate them LMAO It was only when Andy burst out laughing I realized it wasn't true 

17 - I jumped through a double glazed window when I was in primary school because I wanted to do gymnastics 

18 - I've had my hair 2 different shades of the rainbow at once (one side pastel the other brights)

1- What do you order at Starbucks?

I've never had a Starbucks, I don't drink coffee or hot drinks on the very rare occasion I will drink hot chocolate but it's rare.

2- What's one thing in your closet you can't live without?

I don't actually know :/ I guess it would be my onesie? It's my savior when it comes to the post coming while I'm undressed, chucking on of an evening and on a lazy day

3- Whats one thing most people don't know about you?

I wear a watch but I often struggle with working out the time so will always check my phone to be sure.

4- Whats one thing you want to do before you die?

Oooh toughy, regarding me I'd love to go over and volunteer in a 3rd world country

5- What's one food you can't live without?

Not a particular food *covers eyes* but takeaways kebab,dominos,chinese etc

6- What's one quote you live your life by?

The first one that came to mind is 'This to shall pass'

 Sometimes I just need to remind myself the struggle I'm facing right then will eventually pass

7- What do you like and dislike about the youtube community?

Like - I've only recently started using youtube but I love having a little insight into peoples lives by watching their vlogs

Dislike - I'm not sure if it counts but adverts just let me watch the video already

 I don't have either :/ but on my phone Mr Wendall and passenger let her go

Tbh it varies depending on my mood and what I'm doing but it's pretty casual

What is your pets name?

Bear

What kind of pet are they and what breed?

Dog & she's a chiuhauha

How long have you had your pet?

Just under a year as she's only 1 herself

How did you get your pet?

I went to go and have a peek at my auntys new pups her one had, I fell in love and just had to have her (If I could have afforded them all I would have had them all)

How old are they?

She turned 1 in February

What are some quirky things about your pets personality?

The way she will hide her treats but never eat them, I'm forever finding stashes of everything she's collected! She's a serial humper the minute I straighten my legs out she thinks it's an invite to come and ride my leg/feet :/ Oh and if she comes across a screw she will bark at it and run around it for ages

What does your relationship with your pet mean to you?

 :| she's my very own little teddy that holds all of my secrets :)

Cuddles and watching her go crazy over a tiny bit of metal

Bear tends to claim anything fluffy if the dogs leave a teddy anywhere she will run away with it, I'm forever having to chase my knickers off her too -__-
