Bargain of the week - Andrew Barton Heat Protection Spray

Who doesn't love a bargain?
So when I was tottering round asda and found myself down the hair care isle and spotted this Andrew Barton heat protection spray for blonde hair down to 5Op from £3.5O it would have been rude not to buy it.
I don't usually use any kind of heat protection on my hair (I know my poor hair) so I was excited to give it ago, I rarely straighten my hair now days but I do blow dry it.
Now that I have this it's likely I may just start straightening my hair again you know for blog purposes to put this spray to the test!

Poundlands Hidden Treasures

If your a regular reader of my blog you'll know its no secret that I'm a pound shop mega fan!
Since having one open up local to me it's become a daily routine to just 'pop' in and see whats new with no intentions of buying anything just like today when I ended up leaving with £16 worth of stuff.
oops...
There's just so many hidden gems in there if I ever have anything on my wish list I make sure to check out the poundland shelves first.
I've wanted a heart shaped bowl for what seems forever I often go into wilkos look at them, pick them up then put them back and leave so when I saw them in poundland it was only right that I picked myself up two and more than likely return to get some more in the week.
I've become obsessed with glass jars lately and saw the one pictured but didn't pick it up stupidly as I couldn't think of what the hell I would use it for then as soon as my feet stepped on my living room floor I thought of the perfect use and HAD to go and get one but there was none left until a few visits later I saw a stranded one right by the tills so of course it came home with me and now sits proudly holding all my cotton pads, plastic make-up storage is everywhere another thing I've been dying to get my mits on so once again as soon as I saw it I literally slam dunked it into my basket I also have a flower kind of shaped lipstick/lip pencil holder that I bought ages ago but can I find it anywhere to include in this post? Of course not...
Candles... whenever I find scented candles I turn into a candle pervert sniffing every different scent available the jarred love heart candle was no exception it smells exactly like the pink refresher chew bar delicious.
I don't think I really need to go into why I grabbed the Rimmel lip crayon do I?
who can say no to one of those for £1?

I saw these when I planned to write this post but thought buying them for blog purposes when I really would have no use at all for them would be pointless BUT now I have an excuse baby niece/nephew number 11 is on the way!

Air pure Wax melts

Before christmas one of my favourite bloggers posted about Air Pure wax melts she found in poundland stores, you can read her post on them 'here'
Being totally candle and wax tart obsessed it was my mission to track down some for myself! Shortly after reading Shannon's post I came across the Festive Vanilla and Gingerbread ones in my local store which after a squeal went straight into my basket but my hunt wasn't over there I was 2 scents missing Mulled Wine and Peppermint, I was getting my hands on the other two even if it killed me.
After doing my usual daily rounds of the store after the school run there they was waiting for me so with another squeal in my basket they went to with an extra pack of mulled wine for my mumsie.
They are all quite festive scents but it goes without saying the candle section of poundland has become a regular haunt for me in hope some new scents pop up soon.
Each pack is like a little bar of chocolate with 6 cubes to break up and use in your wax warmer/burner, I'm sure if you fancied a stronger scent of your chosen scent and the bowl on your burner/warmer is big enough you could use two rather than the one.
I'm yet to use them so I can't give you a review on how strong they are, how long they last etc..
But it is something I'll post about once I've used them if anyone is interested.

Bargain of the week

Okay so it wasn't quite this week but was only last week or so, I saw a post on a make-up swap page I'm in on facebook for real technique brush sets scanning through at £5.5O at asda.
I've wanted some real technique brushes for awhile now after seeing them all over the blogging world but could never justify the price tag for myself when I rarely wear make-up BUT at £5 can I really let that offer pass me by?
Of course while on the food shop it goes without saying I went to hunt some of these babies down! Not expecting to find any as the make-up section in my local asda is pretty pants.
To my surprise there was quite a few of both sets there (eye starter set and travel essentials)
I ran to self scan to check what price they were scanning through at and there it was that gorgeous £5.25!

I don't wear eyeshadow so I didn't get myself an eye starter set, pretty impressed with myself as the old me would have bought them anyway for the sake of a good bargain. Kind of gutted to as I may one day start wearing eyeshadow and as they say 'nothing haunts us more than the things we didn't buy'

I was even more impressed today when I popped into superdrug on the hunt for the real techniques sponge and spotted the brush set I have for £2O.99!

Recent eBay bargain buys

I'm sure I've said it enough in many posts now I LOVE a bargain, so these beauties were snapped up.

Coloured plant pots and trays
£2.O9 FREE p+p from china, these little beauties come in 6 different colours.
With holes already in the bottom they are far more practical for flowers than the IKEA ones I have, I don't know if i'll be using these for flowers or if they'll be for my odds and ends like hair bands,pens,make-up brushes etc but I'll definitely be buying more for flowers if these ones aren't used for some.

Handbag
£7.99 FREE p+p I thought it was from china when I ordered but when it arrived 2 days after purchase and payment, I checked the location when leaving my feedback and its it's from London.
Also available in electric blue, even tho the handle broke on me yesterday (simple fix) a link had slipped out and it's ready to go again :) for £7.99 even if it was an un-fixable break could I really complain?

Bargain ebay watches

It really is no secret I LOVE a bargain, recently referred to as an eBay queen *insert monkey hiding eyes smiley* but I wear my crown with pride :)
Now a watch for not even £2??
You'd be silly not to buy one, of course for that price you don't/can't expect the quality to be that of what you'd expect from a watch from river island or topshop.
but to be fair for the price the quality really isn't all that bad, As you can tell from the picture (credit to my wonderful other half) None of the watches are set to the correct or same time because I haven't actually worn any of them yet but they are soo pretty and such a bargain does it matter if I never wear them?
They will take pride on my wrist this summer.

Floral watch - £1.27 FREE delivery and available in 6 different colours, you can purchase here

Mint watch - £1.52 FREE delivery, available in 15 different colours, you can purchase here

Cat watch -  £1.87 FREE delivery, available in 4 different colours, purchase here

Do you have a bargain eBay watch I should check out?

God I love poundland

Now we all know I love a good bargain, So it goes without saying that I'm a big fan of poundland and 99p store.
There's so many hidden gems in these places
The girls don't even need shampoo but like hell was I leaving these behind, Who doesn't love disney princesses and frozen?
I'm still undecided if I bought them for me or the girls, I only noticed the frozen stuff as I was quing up so I'm heading back tomorrow to see if there's anything I missed and if they stock the bubble bath and nail polish I was tagged in by a friend on instagram.

(sorry for the picture quality I grabbed the photos from my instagram)

Cheap & Cheerful Statement necklaces

Cheap and Cheerful Statement necklaces

I'm not much of a jewellery wearer but recently I feel a nice statement necklace would finish off my outfit perfectly!
So as I'm new to wearing necklaces I refuse to spend alot on one necklace for it to sit on the side.
Each of these necklaces cost no more than £4 BARGAIN!
I dread they may look cheap and tacky on arrival but at prices like £2.97 or so each it's not to much of a loss or a bank breaker if it goes to the girls for their dressing up box.

Each of these necklaces can be found on eBay searching statement necklace.

BOMB cosmetics - Little hotties

Today the girls, me and my mum had a little trip out to our local garden centre
as they had a little mobile petting corner visiting and with the school week off coming to an end it was the perfect way to end it!
They have a great selection of Yankee Candles so I sniffed those little jars of heaven down.
A few steps away was BOMB cosmetics little hotties range at £7.99 for how many you can fit in a box those little babies were coming home with me!
My mum treated me to a box :)

With your box full of little hotties of your choice you get a little booklet that shows you what hotties to put together to get a certain scent, although it's a little tricky to tell them apart once they've been in a box together and mixed up I can't wait to get mixing.
I managed to fit 44 little hotties into my box so pretty impressive for the price, considering I was going to be paying something like £1.39 for just one Yankee wax tart!

Simple - spotless skin

I've been drying to get my hands on some of the simple range for ages now but
although they aren't to pricey I'm very tight on spending when it comes to myself so I'd look at the price and walk away. Especially when it comes to face wipes because in my house they end up getting used for everything snotty noses, little bums, wiping up spills etc
But while browsing online at Tesco as I had a £1OO gift card (thanks to sky) they had a lot of the simple range on offer for £1 and £1.5O's so I snapped them right up, there's others I have my eye on and in my basket ready to buy as I had to go in store to do my shop in the end with my gift card and they only had these ones in stock that I could see.

simple spotless skin - quick fix cleansing wipes
£1 RRP £2 which I'd still happily pay after using them. I really have noticed a difference in my spots from day one just like the packaging says.

simple spotless skin -rapid action spot zapper
£2.5O RRP £5 I'm yet to use this as my skin has cleared up so well with the wipes alone I've had no reason to but if the wipes are anything to go by this will be a god send.

simple spotless skin - triple action face wash
£1.5O RRP £3 Again I'm yet to use this but it seems promising with how well the wipes have worked.

Although these have now gone back to full price with Tesco they are on offer of buy one get on FREE! On until 9/6/2014
