The Autumn Tag!

(photo from google)

I've seen this tag all over bloglovin and just had to take part :)

One
Okay we're talking coffees - what's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero etc?
I'm pretty boring I don't like coffee so it would be a standard hot chocolate with cream.

Two
Accessories - what do you opt for scarf, boots, gloves?
Ahhh do I really have to pick between boots and scarves? They are both must haves for me whats a warm neck with freezing piggies? I love a good snood but you'll also catch me in boots as soon as the weather gets chilly.

Three
Music - Whats your favourite music to listen to during autumn?
I can't say my music tastes really changes when the weather does BUT as soon as I hear the shops playing Christmas songs I'll be the annoying neighbour singing away with them playing.

Four
Perfume - Whats your favourite scent for this time of year?
My perfume collection is pretty bare right now and in desperate need of a refill, so I guess it would be charlie red as it's the only real one I wear atm, Can always rely on Christmas for a good smellies re stock

Five
Candles - What scents will you be burning this season?
I currently have a fall glory yankee wax tart burning and it smells gorgeous
I have plans to stock up on some Yankee festive scents asap! I loved glades spiced apple air freshener last year I'm hoping I can get it again or a wax tart in the same scent.

Six
What do you love most about Autumn?
Oooh whats not to love? snuggling in the warm while its cold outside, Movie nights feel so much more cosey, knitted jumpers, wooly socks, foggy mornings, nights getting darker earlier, Halloween, Chilly mornings.

Seven
What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?
The leaves changing colour on the trees and leaf crunching on any walks out, I'm like a big kid if I see a leaf that hasn't been crunched I'll go out of my way to go and step on it. Snuggling up with my little family while its cold outside, the bigger dinners.

My autumn/winter essentials

I know it's not officially autumn or winter yet but I don't know about where you are but where I am it's got quite a bit colder and the heating is having to be turned on, the onesie is out and I'm eying up the festive Yankee collections AND the card shops are starting to stock their Christmas ranges.
I'm currently writing out lists of what I need to get in for the girls so here's my autumn/winter essentials....

A good pair of slippers
There's nothing better then slipping your feet into slippers that feel like giant marshmallows/clouds, leaving you with an all round cosy feeling.

A festive scent
There's nothing more cosy then the smell of a festive scent while it's chilly outside, Spiced apple being one of my faves. Yankee candle have a great mixture of festive scents

Snuggly jarmies & dressing gown
Whats better than getting in from the cold or out of a nice bubble bath into a snuggly pair of jarmies and dressing gown?

A good bobble hat, snood and mittens
I'm quite the big kid when it comes to bobble hats I'm all for big bobbles, tassels and anything crazy.
Last year I supported a fairly adult looking bobble hat but it still had a strawberry on the front :)
Snoods, snoods, snoods whats not to love?
it's like a permanent hug while your out, My best snood is from primark its so thick and warm
mittens, gloves, hand warmers whatever it is you prefer because theirs nothing worse than having icicles for fingers!

Bath bombs, bubble bars and bubble bath
This one can be done through out the year but I find the wintery months I get the most use from a bath bomb and bubble bar as it's chilly outside I'll spend a lot longer in a hot bath.
LUSH have amazing dare I say it? Christmas ranges

Wooly socks
Who doesn't love wooly socks? even if it's just to slide around the house like a loon these beauties are a must!

Boots/Wellies
There's nothing better than doing the school run with snuggly toes and fairly warm shins, I certainly notice the difference when I get home and have thighs that feel like they've just been pulled out of the freezer but the bottoms of my legs feel nice and toasty.

Hand warmers
Poundland have a few different cute designs of hand warmers the one where you snap something inside and it heats them up so I plan to stock up on a few to have in my handbag for the girls and myself if I ever need them, what amazing inventions!

This one goes without saying a good Umbrella.
Of course if I can avoid going out in the rain then I will but sometimes it's unavoidable (school runs, appointments etc) Your going to need a good umbrella I don't actually own one and I don't own a coat with a hood either.
I'm scared of grown up umbrellas but I'm looking at getting a dome one in hope it won't go turning inside out on me.

Do you have a must have/essential for the autumn and winter months that I've missed?

Autumn bucket list - Ghostly garland

You'll need
- Toilet roll tubes
- PVA glue
- Toilet roll
- Googly eyes or black paint

This is the perfect crafty fun for the run up to Halloween :) I thought the name fit perfectly too
I haven't come across this on pinterest yet but I won't take any credit for it just in case this idea is floating around on the internet somewhere.
I grabbed some smart price toilet paper to make them out of and saved every empty toilet roll tubes we had, the left over toilet roll will be used turning some daddy's into mummy's at the Halloween party on Thursday :)
Daisie wasn't to interested after awhile but Issy loved getting stuck in and me being a big kid LOVED doing them.

Bucket list - Making a autumn tealight holder

You'll need
- A jar
- Plenty of leaves
- PVA glue
- Gold glitter paint (optional)
any extras you wish to add

After seeing a autumn tea light holder on pinterest I think it was I couldn't wait to give it a go with the girls.
It's the perfect little thing to do this autumn it doesn't take up a huge amount of time and there's hardly any mess unless you wish to add some colour of course, I recommend to use the leaves shortly after you hunted them down, I grabbed some and left them for a few days but they ended being so dried out that they wouldn't stick to the jar at all, So today I grabbed some more on the way home from the school run and they stuck a whole lot better :)  Not only are these perfect for the autumn around the house (the idea is once a tea light is in the jar it will glow all the lovely autumn colours of the leaves) I grab as many colours & shapes of leaves as i can to add some variety. They also make the perfect hand made gifts for nanny/grandmas, aunties/uncles, grandads etc
