Bucket list - Making a autumn tealight holder

You'll need
- A jar
- Plenty of leaves
- PVA glue
- Gold glitter paint (optional)
any extras you wish to add

After seeing a autumn tea light holder on pinterest I think it was I couldn't wait to give it a go with the girls.
It's the perfect little thing to do this autumn it doesn't take up a huge amount of time and there's hardly any mess unless you wish to add some colour of course, I recommend to use the leaves shortly after you hunted them down, I grabbed some and left them for a few days but they ended being so dried out that they wouldn't stick to the jar at all, So today I grabbed some more on the way home from the school run and they stuck a whole lot better :)  Not only are these perfect for the autumn around the house (the idea is once a tea light is in the jar it will glow all the lovely autumn colours of the leaves) I grab as many colours & shapes of leaves as i can to add some variety. They also make the perfect hand made gifts for nanny/grandmas, aunties/uncles, grandads etc

Help me decide...

I really want a change for my living room, I've gone shabby chic mad! but I really can't decide if I  should redecorate or just work with what I have :/

I currently have this on one wall, the other walls are white and black & I have a zebra rug which is so hard to keep clean with little ones in and out ...

I really love this, I won't have to change my living room completely but it gives me more choice of accessory colours, I'm thinking blacks, greys and either a teal or a purple for accessories like vases, rugs and even sofa  etc

If I keep the zebra I'll be wallpapering the wall opposite the wallpapered one and hoping it isn't to much, What would you do? I'd really like a fresh look but I'm so undecided

D.I.Y Mumma

BEFORE paint, after a good sanding down as it was very grubby
AFTER a lick of paint and taa-dahh

The other day i walked into work and saw a kids ikea table and chairs in the back, it was pretty grubby drawing all over it and one half was caked in paint (i forgot to get a picture of the top before it got sanded down) A little while later my boss asked me if it was any good for my girls of course i said yeah and this baby was mine for £5
My dad lent me a sander, my partner sanded it down and away i went with sprucing it up :)
after a lick of paint it was a gorgeous table perfect for two little girls
It needs another coat and a coat of gloss and it'll be complete :)
I'm thinking of added the girls names on the back of each chair too
